With the 2020 election right around the corner, it’s time to start getting informed!

We get political on today’s podcast with Alexis, Evan, and author, Molly Jong-Fast. Molly is an author of two novels, Normal Girl and The Social Climber’s Handbook and has a fantastic Twitter feed that makes you wonder if she ever sleeps. Today, we discuss everything scarily wrong with our political climate, from

“Trumpism”, to looming racism/sexism, to climate change and of course, how we look after our collective mental health.

As Americans, we are waking up, and Molly is no stranger to the liberal Millennial movement. We have to use our voices, and get involved in campaigns that matter to us.

Here are some ways you can participate, without completely losing your sanity.

  • Start following political writers on Twitter. Our recommendations are Seth Abramson, David Corn, Bill Kristol, David Frum, and of course, Molly Jong-Fast.

  • Begin researching candidates and their campaigns. Meditate on this information before taking action.

  • How do their policies align with the society you want to be apart of?

  • If you live in a blue state, use resources like Swing Left organization or Indivisible and make a donation or get involved. If you live in a red state, find a race to adopt.

  • Listen to resources like SiriusXM Progress radio or Mueller, She Wrote Podcast.

  • And finally, keep yourself healthy. If we are too burned out, we cannot spark change!
