Ep. 140 Rachel Slawson on Being The First Openly LGBTQ Miss USA

In this week's episode, I am joined by my friend Rachel Slawson. Rachel was the first openly queer Miss USA representing Utah. She joins me on the podcast today to talk about her mental health journey, what it was like growing up in the Mormon church, and coming out as Bi while competing for Miss USA. Rachel is also in an open relationship so we dive into their specific dynamic and explore our differences in polyamorous relationships.

Highlights from this week’s episode:

“I wasn’t crazy, I was just in pain.” - Rachel Slawson

“Visibility is so important for Bi women." - Rachel Slawson
